We are still thrilled by these wonderful fairs! Thanks to every dealer who visited our booth, exchanged ideas with us about our products, and made the weekends even more beautiful for us.
For everyone who couldn't be there, here is a little fair recap:
Every year we are in Munich for a weekend at the Trendset fair and a weekend here in Hamburg at the Nordstil, both in winter and summer.
For us, the fair happens in stages. First, our setup and decoration team is on site to make the booth as beautiful as it always is in the end. I think at first it sounds like the girls just put a vase here, place some bread on a board there, and drink some sparkling wine on the side. Sometimes they probably wish it really was like that. In reality, the girls & guys set up an entire apartment, paint, assemble furniture, and decorate this “apartment” incredibly beautifully! See for yourself: It goes from the bedroom, to a corner with wooden wreaths & baskets, on to a Christmas corner, through the kitchen to the bathroom, and finally to our pottery corner, where we show how our handmade Cups are actually made.
Our enchanting Lini is always with us. I asked her which corner she enjoyed setting up the most this year.
"My highlight is the bathroom corner! I love that our products get a whole new meaning here. Our Cup become toothbrush holders, the mini storage jars are filled with cotton swabs and tampons, and our wood block suddenly becomes the perfect storage for all the little things you need in the bathroom."
The rest of the team then comes to the fair in shifts to show our dealers our products, so that you can later get them in their beautiful little shops. For our dear Jessi, it was the very first Eulenschnitt fair, as she only started in our team a week before. I also asked her about her first impressions:
Phew, there are quite a few! I found it totally crazy that on Friday evening after landing in Munich, we were still allowed into the exhibition halls and were the only team still working at the exhibition stand. I was super impressed by HOW big our stand is. It's simply a real apartment - a beautiful apartment! It's impressive to see what our setup and decoration team puts together beforehand. The whole fair had a really great vibe. It was like one big family and it was really nice that we were all together and spent so much time together. Although I found it crazy that the dealers always knew what we were up to because they could follow everything on Instagram. But that was like one big family too. For me, it was also perfect to see all the products together and get a good overview right away. It was a really great start
Our Marie-Chérie has been with us for years. That's why I wanted to know from her what was different at the fair this year compared to previous times:
Many things! This time we were technically much better equipped and no longer had to record orders by hand. For me, it was a small revolution. Also, the shopping baskets were a bit bigger again, which made us really happy. Especially popular were, for example, the stoneware, our postcards, and matching card holders. Of course, we also had new products with us that will arrive with us in the next few weeks. Simply great are, for example, our new storage containers, the metal wreaths that can also be used well for workshops, and our new magazine stand, which many often look for.
And oh God, forget EVERYTHING I just said! The best part was the sparkling wine we had with us. They were small cans with the Eulenschnitt heart on them. Marina and Lara already knew it would be there and had to swear on the catalog not to reveal anything to me. It was a great surprise and simply a highlight for the customers.
As soon as Monday 5:00 PM hits, loud music starts playing throughout the entire exhibition hall and the dismantling begins. Without any fuss, all products are collected, carefully packed, and all furniture is taken down. You can hardly imagine that it takes several days to set up this beautiful exhibition stand and then everything is packed up again in just a few hours.
It was simply wonderfully beautiful again! A thousand thanks to all the magical people who made this fair so special!
