A little cutting, folding, and gluing, and suddenly simple paper turns into small flowers that bring spring into your home. Our paper flowers are an easy craft idea for Easter time. They are quick to make, look wonderfully light, and can be brought out again every year. Especially nice: Lelle designed a template so you can get started right away.
What you need
- sturdy paper or craft cardboard
- our template (download here)
- Scissors
- Glue
- small wooden beads (optional)

This is how your paper flowers come to life
You can either print the template directly on slightly thicker paper or use it as a stencil and trace the shapes onto your desired paper with a pencil.
Cut out all eight hearts and the circle. Then fold the hearts in the middle so they get a bit more depth.
Now glue the individual hearts onto the circle one by one – slightly overlapping, all the way to the center. This easily creates a small blossom. You can optionally place a small wooden bead in the center.

Small details that make the difference
Let the flowers be a little imperfect on purpose – that’s exactly what gives them their charm. With different paper thicknesses, sizes, or slight color nuances, you can create very different flowers.
Decoration tip for spring
The paper flowers can be wonderfully combined:
- as a small arrangement on the table
- in a bowl with natural materials
- or as a loving addition to your Easter decoration
Even laid out individually, they look like small, calm eye-catchers.

A craft idea for small and big hands
This DIY idea is also great for doing together.
Cutting, folding, and gluing are especially fun with kids – and in the end, everyone has created their very own flower. We wish you lots of fun crafting.
